4/10/2015 6:12:36 PM | My first day I signed up at TKC with Sensei Fariborz I was 14 years old. I was waiting for Fariborz to finish so I can ask him about signing up. He was fighting with Cecil and his students wear also sparring Fariborz students. It was amazing sight and I was so moved by how these two masters showed respect to each other and having a go at it. Cecil people had bigger hair then
My next memory is when I was competing his his tournament and I felt robbed from referee, lol I won that match but they said no. I was so made and went to Cecil people and complained. He gave me my money back but always ask me for it. I think it was 20 dollar. He cared so much about my feeling that I don"t forget that day and his he calm me down. Probably wanted to kick my ass rightfully. If you tell him he still wants his money back lol truly a kind man and Always a pleasure to see him.

4/9/2015 9:21:00 PM | Both myself and my wife Kimberly have been good friends with Sensei for over 25 Yrs. It has been our sincere pleasure and true Honor to share this part of our life with such a great Teacher and Legendary Martial Artist. I remember all of those years competing at the March Madness Tournament. Their was never a better Ref for the Black Belt Division to have in your ring then Sensei. Being a long time competitor on the circuit as a Point Fighter I know just how impressive it was for Sensei to successfully transition to the Full Contact arena. Sensei"s sweeps were always so sweet they looked effortless and his competitors knew it.
Enjoy your Day Sensei,
Respect and Honor

1/1/2007 7:03:42 PM | Dear Sensei:
I am Teri"s friend who took care of you when you have the flu in Colorado and you helped us with women"s self defense. I need your advice for my son, Jeremy. He had his first MMA fight at Ring of Fire and altho he tapped in 3rd round, did very well...he was a crowd favorite and Sven Bean said he could fight in ROF anytime he wanted. I need to get advise on how to manage him and what it requires. At this point, almost 4 weeks after his fight NONE of his coaches have followed up with him on what he did wrong/right or even what to do about another fight. I don"t want to leave this in other folks hands. Can you give me any advise on managing him and keeping him on a good path toward success? Thank you sir.

5/17/2006 9:19:33 AM | Dear Sensei, My hearfelt congratulations on earning your Ju-Dan. Thank you for your kindness and support for almost twenty years. I still remember walking into your school on Woodman and Vanowen as an eight-year old in 1986, frightened by the intensity and toughness with which you taught your students. Over the years, the fear has turned to respect, and to love. Your dojo was a place of refuge when I was a young black belt, as it was a place where I formed as purple belt under your instruction. And I still remember my gruelling belt tests under you. Your dedication to your students and to the Martial Arts has shown, and I am glad to have seen that so many times in my life. I am truly fortunate to have been your student, and proud to call you "Sensei". Sensei Richard Grijalva Schumann Boston, MA
